Asharnté & Ethan — A Family-Filled Little Wedding in Fitzroy Gardens
Some weddings are small because a couple chooses to keep things intimate. Others, like Asharnté and Ethan’s feel small in spirit, but still full of life, laughter, and a whole lot of family love.
They booked our Little Wedding + Photography package and decided to keep their guest list to “just immediate family.” But when both of you come from big families with lots of siblings on each side “immediate family” quickly turns into more than 30 people. And honestly, that energy made the day feel even more special.
For their ceremony location, Asharnté and Ethan chose Fitzroy Gardens, one of Melbourne’s most beautiful inner-city parklands. Because they weren’t setting up any structures or decorations, just letting nature be the backdrop, no permit was required, which kept the day simple, relaxed, and completely stress-free.
We arrived early on a quiet Saturday morning and wandered through the gardens together, exploring different spots and giving them the chance to choose the place that felt right. It didn’t take long and as soon as we reached a large, sweeping tree with soft open shade, everyone knew instantly this was the one.
Our photographer and content creator documented every moment big sibling hugs, proud parents gathered close, and those little glances Asharnté and Ethan shared when they thought nobody else was watching. No staging, no fuss, just real connection.
This wedding is a beautiful reminder that “little” doesn’t always mean fewer people, sometimes it means keeping the circle to the ones who helped shape your life, even if that circle is joyfully big.
